The Shoreby Club served as the venue for the ninth annual “Spring into Style,” a luncheon fundraiser supporting University Hospitals and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital Circle of Friends.
The event included boutique shopping from a variety of vendors as well as a yellow rose raffle and auction. Highlighting the afternoon was a fashion show presented by Toni in Style in Chagrin Falls.
A volunteer committee spearheaded the afternoon event, which raised $50,000. Since its inception in 2009, Spring into Style has raised over $250,000 for their cause.
Close to 200 women were on hand that afternoon and enjoyed a Champagne welcome and during the luncheon heard “A Mom’s Story” by Corinne Willets. Serving as mistress of ceremonies was Sara Shookman of WKYC.
During the fashion show, Toni Hadad, owner of Toni in Style, commented “what a lovely and beautifully dressed crowd you are.” She quoted the words of Coco Chanel that “every day is a fashion show and the world is your runway.”
The spring 2018 show feature such styles as fringe pants, polka dots, bold prints, off the shoulder tops and ensembles in bright white.
Main sponsors of Spring Into Style were Industrial Commercial Properties, Huntington Technology Finance and the Susan Delaney Group of Howard Hanna, among other supporters.
Spring Into Style furthers the hospital’s mission of providing the highest quality family-centered care to children and families.
Support from the event funds a variety of programs at Rainbow such as pediatric cancer initiatives, research and recruitment of talent and Child Life, the group of dedicated team members at Rainbow who make hospital stays less scary for children. STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHS BY SUE REID
