The sold-out event was held at the trendy Tenk West Bank, which was decked out with colorful lighting by Rock the House Entertainment, a disco room and an atmosphere suitable for the stylish crowd.

Guests enjoyed cocktails and light appetizers, followed by dinner presented by Marigold Catering, which featured food stations of such dishes as North Carolina Barbecue Pulled pork, lamb and feta sliders and smoked gouda macaroni and cheese, plus more.

Chaired by Matt Sinclair and Kyle Melling, Rock the Rainbow raised over $60,000 for the hospital. The men described how the event has grown since its inception, with crowds increasing from 150 to more than 250 people. Funds raised at this year’s event will go toward the innovative work done by UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.

The RBCF’s associate board, comprised of entrepreneurial young professionals, formed in 2014 as a vehicle to bring the foundation’s vision to life. Fondly referred to as the “Baby Board,” the group plans to present fundraisers on an annual basis. STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHS BY SUE REID
