More than 200 guests turned out in support of Huntington’s Disease Society of America, Northeast Ohio Chapter, for its signature Celebration of Hope Gala — Bourbon Ball.
Presented at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven, the evening featured fine bourbon tasting, signature cocktails, an exclusive silent auction, gourmet dinner and dessert as well as a live auction and raffles. Following dinner, guests enjoyed dancing to the music of Moonlight Serenaders.
Tables were adorned with red roses and hydrangeas, along with winter berries. Guests enjoyed a main course of bourbon-glazed chicken and braised beef duet with whipped sweet potato and roast broccolini, followed by dessert and signature drinks featuring top bourbon

Jesse Lis and Nicole Visconsi Mawby co-chaired the event, working alongside a Celebration of Hope Planning Committee. Stefani Schaefer of Fox 8 News hosted the gala, with Chuck Dukas serving as emcee.
The evening’s main sponsor was the Park Foundation, along with Steven Samuels, Bob Serpentini, Marc Stefanski and the Third Federal Foundation, among many other generous donors.
A total of $300,000 was raised at the event in support of research necessary to end the disease and provide a cure for families.
Huntington’s Disease, a hereditary degenerative brain disorder that results in a loss of cognitive, behavioral and physical control, can strike at any age. The Northeast Ohio Chapter partners with Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals, among other leading medical facilities, in providing comprehensive Huntington’s Disease care and educational services, as well as support group programs and individual and family counseling.
