The Women’s Committee of The Fine Arts Association celebrated 50 wonderful years of supporting and promoting the creative arts at their annual Holiday Gala at Kirtland Country Club, Kirtland, OH. Chartered as an auxiliary in 1969, members continue to donate their time and energy to raise funds through projects, programs and special events. The committee has grown to over 125 members and is always looking for new members who appreciate the importance of keeping people of all ages engaged in enriching arts programs and services.
This year, Holiday Gala proceeds graciously provide items from FAA’s “wish list” which includes but is not limited to: electronic bulletin boards for the gallery, educational equipment and updated software for the new year.
Over the past 10 years alone, the Women’s Committee has gifted in excess of $200,000 in support of FAA’s student scholarships, for educational and performance equipment, infrastructure support and so much more. “The board, staff, faculty greatly appreciate the Women’s Committee for their 50 years of giving,” said Paul Holm, CEO of The Fine Arts Association.
The Women’s Committee hosts a Luncheon Program Series on the second Wednesday of every month between September and May bringing exciting performances, speakers and presentations to the FAA Corning Auditorium. The programming runs from September through May and is open to the public. STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHS SUBMITTED BY FINE ARTS ASSOCIATION
