The Epilepsy Association welcomed more than 150 guests to its fourth annual “Rockin’ the Keys for a Cause” fundraiser at Vosh in Lakewood.

The casual, after-work event offered live entertainment by City Lite, dinner stations, drinks, a silent auction, prize raffle and a 50/50 Head or Tails game. Donations made during the course of the show moved song requests to the top of the list. City Lite donated 100 percent of all “tips” back to the Epilepsy Association. “Rockin’ the Keys for a Cause” was created for agency supporters, corporate sponsors and young professionals, as a new and fun way to give back.

The $25,000 in funds raised at the event will stay in Northeast Ohio to support the association’s programs and services for the nearly 55,000 individuals living with epilepsy. These programs include information and referral, direct social services, community-based epilepsy education and a kids and family program. “Rockin’ the Keys for a Cause” is part of the association’s Purple Your Year Campaign, created to provide yearlong epilepsy awareness throughout the Northeast Ohio community.
