The winter holiday season officially kicked off on December 3, 2021, as supporters of Cleveland Ballet gathered to celebrate the return of “The Nutcracker” to Playhouse Square. A Magical Evening – A Benefit Gala for Cleveland Ballet, sponsored by Key Private Bank Wealth Management, brought art lovers from across northeast Ohio to The Union Club for cocktails, dinner, and a very special auction prior to the opening of the holiday and Cleveland classic. A spirited battle in the auction of a week’s stay in a beautiful French villa, donated by the villa’s owner and Cleveland Ballet Board member, Madeleine Parker, was decided by the generous addition of a second package. Following dinner, attendees were treated to transportation in luxury vans, provided by The Rafih Auto Group, to the opening performance of
Cleveland Ballet’s “The Nutcracker,” at the historic Connor Palace Theatre.
As a special thank you to the benefit’s sponsors and elite donors, Madeleine Parker hosted a fantastic cocktail party in her beautiful, recently renovated home on November 30, 2021.
Gala Committee Co-Chairs Terry Adelman, Karen Conley, and Madeleine Parker were pleased to announce that, “Despite the particularly hard effect COVID-19 had on the performing arts, A Magical Evening – A Benefit Gala for Cleveland Ballet raised more than $200,000 to assist the company in its continuing mission to present world class dance.” Pat Pogue and Board Chairman, Dick Pogue were Honorary Chairs of the evening.
Cleveland Ballet will perform this spring in a new production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at Playhouse Square’s Mimi Ohio Theatre May 7 and 8. The company will soon begin its new summer residency in Vermilion. For more information on upcoming performances please visit clevelandballet.org.
