The winter holiday season officially kicked off on December 3, 2021, as supporters of Cleveland Ballet gathered to celebrate the return of “The Nutcracker” to Playhouse Square. A Magical Evening – A Benefit Gala for Cleveland Ballet, sponsored by Key Private Bank Wealth Management, brought art lovers from across northeast Ohio to The Union Club for cocktails, dinner, and a very special auction prior to the opening of the holiday and Cleveland classic. A spirited battle in the auction of a week’s stay in a beautiful French villa, donated by the villa’s owner and Cleveland Ballet Board member, Madeleine Parker, was decided by the generous addition of a second package. As a special thank you to the benefit’s sponsors and elite donors, Madeleine Parker hosted a fantastic cocktail party in her beautiful, recently renovated home on November 30, 2021.
Gala Committee Co-Chairs Terry Adelman, Karen Conley, and Madeleine Parker were pleased to announce that, “Despite the particularly hard effect COVID-19 had on the performing arts, A Magical Evening – A Benefit Gala for Cleveland Ballet raised more than $200,000 to assist the company in its continuing mission to present world class dance.” Pat Pogue and Board Chairman, Dick Pogue were Honorary Chairs of the evening.
